1.Students will be able to use formulas correctly to find both percent and central angle
2.Students will be able to use a protractor to create a circle graph
 
5. Materials and Aids-
Measuring Angles WS, Smarties, Smartie Graph Worksheets, Student Note Sheets, Protractors, Homework sheet
 
6. Methods Used and Procedures-

A. Introduction-

1.Have Students complete the measuring angles worksheet with their protractor
 

B. Development-

1.Hand out Smarties Worksheets and Smarties
2.Remind students not to eat Smarties!
 

C. Practice-

1.Go over example one to help students understand the steps of creating a circle graph
 

D. Independent Practice-

1.Have students work on Example 2 in notes to check that students are on the correct track
 

E. Accommodations For Students-

1. Work with students having difficulty with protractor in small group for extra practice
 

F. Checking for understanding-

1.Students should complete Circle Graph Worksheet for Homework
 

G. Closure-

1.Students should begin worksheet if time so teacher(s) can check their progress
 
7. Evaluation-
1.Students should trade papers and grade each other's tables, they are to check other students graphs quickly and make sure they look correct. I will check them by hand
2.Any student who has trouble with this will need to come in and work one-on-one with me in order to correct their mistakes
